The event brought together over 529 buyers from 45 countries and 499 sellers representing destinations across the archipelago.<\/p>\n<p>A closing press conference was held, hosted by the Head Committee of the BBTF 2025 &#8211; I Putu Winastra, S.AB, M.A.P., and representatives from both buyer, seller and exhibitor, highlighting the trade fair\u2019s achievements and its growing strategic value in shaping the future of Indonesia\u2019s tourism.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cBBTF is proud to contribute to the sustained growth of Indonesia\u2019s tourism by building a trusted platform that connects markets, strengthens partnerships, and promotes our diverse destinations. With the support from the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Bali Provincial Government, and stakeholders, BBTF remains a powerful bridge between Indonesia and the world, start from Bali,\u201d<\/em> said I Putu Winastra, S.AB, M.A.P., the Head Committee of the BBTF 2025 and Chairman of ASITA\u00a0Bali\u00a0Regional.<\/p>\n<p>The estimated transaction value at BBTF 2025 reached IDR 7,84 trillion making a 3 percent increase compared to the IDR 7,61 trillion produced in 2024. The increase came despite challenges such as rising airfare costs, which influenced shifts in travel destinations. This year also saw a rise in participation from emerging markets, creating a greater demand for destination and product knowledge. Looking forward, organizers anticipate broader seller participation from regions beyond Bali in 2026 with more provinces joining.<\/p>\n<p><strong>B2B Engagement and Global Confidence<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Throughout the three-day event, curated B2B meetings allowed for productive engagement between international buyers and Indonesian sellers. First-time buyer <strong>Sebulon Chiliho Chicalu<\/strong> from Namibia shared his excitement:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThis has been a meaningful opportunity to understand Indonesia\u2019s depth beyond Bali. So much learning about the products and get to know the people behind it. Our interest also on the village and communities\u2019 tourism. BBTF has<\/em> <em>exceeded our business expectations and will continue generating strong leads but also offered valuable lessons in environmental preservation and tourism sustainability. This knowledge exchange brought confirmed plans to return next year with a larger team of Namibian operators, as well as to invite Indonesian and Balinese counterparts and media to develop similar initiatives in Namibia.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>To strengthen bilateral tourism relations to the economies and strong cultural and friendship, today ASITA Bali and the Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) Africa country, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for promoting tourism in both countries. Aiming to provide a long-term mutual benefit that covering familiarization trips, workshops and B2B meetings, influencer and media exchanges, new area development, and joint tour packages. The partnership also fosters social-responsibility projects, private-sector participation in exhibitions and festivals, professional training programs, and shared promotional materials\u2014all as guiding principles without imposing immediate financial commitments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sellers Recognize BBTF\u2019s Strategic Value<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThis trade show is a learning experience because sellers, exhibitors from 8 regencies and city need to respond to the market expectations. Bali as the world destination will always need to refine and maintain our positioning with competitive edge. Indonesia\u2019s culinary heritage is rooted in local ecosystems and passed down through generations, offering travelers a deeper connection to the soul of the destination.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cGastronomy is more than just taste\u2014it\u2019s a way to understand heritage, connect, and preserve,\u201d<\/em> said I Putu Winastra. <em>\u201cThis theme reflects our belief that food tourism can uplift communities, support biodiversity, and create a more conscious travel experience.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cA special highlight for next year\u2019s agenda is the replacement of the Tourism Talkshow with a more intimate and engaging gathering.
